Ministry Opportunity

Full time Pastor (Markham, Ontario)

Metro Chinese Christian Mission (the “Church”) is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church

of Canada (EFCC). The Church is calling a full time pastor to minister a Chinese congregation.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1.    This position is accountable to the Church Board and members of the Church.

2.    Prepare and deliver biblical sermons (mainly in Cantonese).

3.    Plan and conduct Sunday worship, Easter, Christmas, and other applicable services.

4.    Provide spiritual counseling and pastoral care to the congregation.

5.    Lead in prayer and guide the overall spiritual formation of the Congregation.

6.    Lead in effective programs of prayer, discipleship, evangelism, mission and care for persons in the Church and in the community.

7.    Provide on-going spiritual training for leaders and to nurture and raise potential leaders.

Qualifications:

·         Master level degree from an accredited theological seminary.

·         At least 5 years as a deacon or pastor in ministry, including preaching and discipleship training in an evangelical  church.

·         Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.

·         Strong leadership, communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills.
