2021 Vacation Bible Adventure Camp Employment

Job Description (6 Openings)

  1. Camp Curriculum designer: Plan, design and develop curriculum and activities that will would develop various life-related skills for children during the summer camp thru sports, music, art and other media.

  2. Camp Administrator: Plan and handle all administrative duties before and during the summer camp. Duties includes but not limited to data entry, registration, promotion, communication with parents, first aid and hygiene related matters.

  3. Media coordinator: Provides AV and media support for the entire summer camp. Tasks include but not limited to searching for appropriate materials, equipment, and trouble shoot for all activities and presentations.

  4. Camp counselor (Sports and Games): Plan and develop activities that will would develop various sport-related skills for children during the summer camp.

  5. Camp counselor (Music and Drama): Plan and develop activities that will would lead volunteer and children in music and drama throughout the summer camp. Their main goal is to lead children to prepare and perform during the closing ceremony of the camp.

  6. Camp counselor (Art and Craft): Plan and develop activities that will would lead volunteer and children in art elements throughout the summer camp. These includes decorations, art and craft sessions and other art-related activities.

*All counsellors are expected to work with other camp counsellors to provide the necessary activities to the camp so that children can build teamwork and develop their individual skills in a fun, positive and safe environment.

  • Entitled to work in Canada

  • Can contribute positively to the implementation of MCCM's Vision and Mission, operate in a collaborative team setting, and maintain high productivity levels and quality of work

  • Passionate about children camps and enthusiastic about teaching children

  • Great attention to safety, certified first aid training will be an asset

  • Ability to plan and carry out a structured program within a team with effective communication and teaching skills.

  • Teachable, humble, and carries an attitude of selflessness and servanthood.

  • Police Vulnerable Sector Check will be required if employed

* * Some position might be funded by Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ). Should the position funding is provided from CSJ, the applicant for that specific position must be between age 16 to 30.
